For the month of July, the angels have chosen to guide us on our life purpose, so I chose five cards from the Life Purpose Oracle Card deck by Doreen Virtue, PhD. As stated in previous readings, Doreen is a world renowned authority on angels, having had communication and connection with so many over much of her life.
Doreen tells us, “Each and every one of us has an equally important purpose. When we’re working on it, all aspects of our lives become healed. We feel happier and healthier. Even our finances improve! In contrast, when we’re not working on this calling, there’s a chronic low-level sense of anxiety because we unconsciously know that we’re missing the mark. This often leads to addictions and other unhealthful behaviors…
Everyone’s mission has the same underlying element of love. In essence, we’re all here to learn, remember, and teach this powerful emotion. Every action that we take demonstrates either fear or love. When we choose the path of love, we grow spiritually, help others, and balance our karma. The question you need to answer relates to which form your path of love will take. Will you be a healer, teacher, artist, parent, caregiver, and so forth?
Most people… want to find a career that is meaningful and pays the bills. They want a guarantee that they can quit their present job and be financially secure. There is a guarantee, provided that you’re willing to carefully listen to and follow your inner Divine guidance. Archangel Michael knows what your, and everyone else’s life purpose involves. He is the overseer of life purposes, like an orchestra conductor who ensures that all musicians are playing their parts. You, like one of the musicians in the orchestra, are much needed, and your contribution is just as important as everyone else’s. We are each playing a role in God’s plan of peace.
Fortunately, your life purpose involves actions and topics that you’re already interested in… If you’re not sure what you’re passionate about, ask a trusted loved one. This person has observed which topics and pursuits excite you. And these are the bases for you life purpose. This purpose is so exciting and rewarding that you’ll wake up in the morning invigorated about the day ahead. Abundance will flow to you because you’ll naturally spend so much time on this endeavor. Your excitement will drive you to become very proficient at it.”
The cards that were chosen were: 1) Family: Loving your friends and family is central to your life purpose; 2) Career Change: You’re embarking upon a career that brings you the joy and abundance you desire and deserve; 3) Children: Your life purpose involves helping, teaching, and healing children; 4) Nutrition:You conduct healing work with your culinary skills; and 5) Flowers: Working with flowers opens your heart and brings blessings to others through your life purpose. It should be noted that our life purpose can be a combination of two or more areas of interest which blend well with, and complement, each other. Let’s look at each card individually.
1) Family: Family can be specific to a traditional one, like father, mother, and children, or it can be an extension of it, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family can also include close friends who play an important role in accepting and supporting us; or a group of people who share a common interest. Regardless of the family structure, all members play an important role in its well-being. All contribute emotionally, others may earn money through work in or outside the home, while some maintain the functioning of the group through cooking, cleaning, and caring in general for it. In this arrangement, each member adds their unique talents for the betterment of the whole. Since most of us are members of a family in one way or another, our life purpose becomes how we contribute our talents and skills for the betterment of all. Remember, ” Everyone’s mission has the same underlying element of love.” (Virtue)
2) Career Change: Your career change may be associated with your family circumstances. You may be welcoming a child into your home and will be devoting yourself to his or her upbringing. You may leave a job or make arrangements to change your work situation to accomodate this new family member. You may become the full time wage earner in this family and need to find work that will satisfy you as well as bring in additional revenue to help family life flow smoothly. Or you may be the child raised up and ready to find a career of your own. Know that, whatever your circumstance, the angels are watching over you. They hear your requests and understand your dreams. Ask for their help and stay open to the messages that come along. Everything happens for a reason. When something comes your way that catches your eye, look at it carefully and sit with it. Listen to the guidance within that will help you discern what is right for you.
3) Children: The children of this world are our future. Their well-being will shape society. Your life purpose involves children, regardless of your situation. How do you help children if you are disconnected from them? You do this by your actions and how you live your life. You do this by contributing to society in a way that benefits all now and in years to come. You do this by purposefully holding yourself to high standards as a model, not for ego’s sake, but to keep the vibrational energy of the planet high. So, help yourself, help society, help the planet, help the children. Teach by example how to live a full and honorable life for we are all teachers in every capacity. And heal the hurts in your own life, so that it is easier for children to grow up in a positive environment.
4) Nutrition: Your life purpose regarding nutrition is three-fold. First, in order to achieve the highest levels of production, emotion, health, and prosperity, eating nutritiously makes a big difference. Eating organically makes an even bigger difference because you are taking in less toxins with your food. Second, you may be the cook in the family, or the restaurant, or the corporation, so offering nutritious foods extends your healing work to many more people. And third, food can bring great joy to life, so you can contribute greatly on an emotional plane. Food is the basis for sustaining life, so when you prepare good food with love and impassioned energy, you provide the gift of high-energy food for yourself or others. What a wonderful gift!
5) Flowers: It may seem odd that flowers could contribute to our life purpose, but it all ties in with nature and our beautiful planet Earth. We owe much gratitude to Mother Earth for sustaining us in so many ways. She provides beauty, food, oxygen from the trees, grounding, enjoyment, solitude, and so much more. Flowers are one way for us to connect with nature, be it through a career as a gardener, landscape designer, florist, farmer, or environmentalist. Of course, life purpose can mean avocation, as well as vocation, so being involved in your own garden, or arranging flowers in your home can satisfy that passion within you, too. Flowers have a very high energy vibration that naturally influences whoever is around them. They help us to “bloom”, and can enhance our creative abilities. So if your life purpose is working with flowers, know that you are raising the vibration of the planet and all of us on it, and we thank you.
Very often as individuals, we do not consider our life purpose, what we have been put on this beautiful planet to accomplish. We get caught up in the mundane happenings in our lives. But we came here with higher purpose. Ultimately, we all are working our way back to the love we started with as newborns. The purity and true connection to Divinity is what we want to achieve. We are very fortunate that the angels are here to listen to us, guide us when we ask, but most importantly, to love us. Call on them when you are in need. They are waiting.
