Archangel Michael is our spiritual protector. He (St Michael) takes the role of the patron saint of police officers, a symbol of protection. When we want protection for ourselves, our family and friends, Archangel Michael is a wonderful resource for us. He will watch over us whenever we ask, and as long as we are in consistent contact with him, he will come to our aid in an emergency without a formal request. This month, I asked Archangel Michael how we can protect ourselves from harm. He answered with four cards from the oracle deck of Archangel Michael, which was comprised by Michael and Doreen Virtue, PhD.
The first card drawn suggests we pay attention to our dreams. Dreams are a guide for us on our spiritual path, so it behooves us to focus on any conscious messages we receive. Part of Michael’s work is to help us release fears and lower energies during sleep time. He assists with bringing deep concerns to the surface to be examined and released. Sometimes, we do not remember our dreams, but they are being processed on a subconscious level none the less It is helpful to take time to write down dreams we do recall. Over time, patterns may emerge that will help us make good choices for ourselves. The better the choices we make, the happier we will be.
Our path in life is dualistic in nature. We have free will and are able to make many different choices. Michael keeps us aware of our spiritual direction through daydreams, as well as dreams at night. We should be aware of any intuitive feelings we receive, so we can consider how they relate to our safety. These dreams or feelings may be concerned with relationships with family or friends, social situations, or even our job. If we receive an unclear message, meditation and Archangel Michael will help to clarify it for us. Make sure to listen and follow the advice. Your intuition is a direct link to your Higher Self and higher celestial beings like Michael. Be conscious of the fact that making good choices in our life is a form of emotional, mental, and spiritual protection.
The second card drawn posits positive thoughts create positive results. Protection is not only for our physical well being. It has much to do with our thought processes. When our thoughts are focused on the good, such as kindness, compassion, forgiveness, love, and happiness, we automatically live at a higher vibrational level that is protective. We attract high vibrational situations into our life. Since we manifest what we believe in and talk about, speaking and thinking in negative terms will bring manifestations on that level too. Archangel Michael suggests we examine our thought processes honestly. Are we speaking positive words, but thinking negative thoughts? We must be conscious of where our thoughts are taking us. We can ask Archangel Michael for help if we are finding difficulty staying truly positive.
The third drawn card has to do with shielding ourselves from harm. Archangel Michael urges us to call on him when we need help in any way. When we do, he will encircle us with his purple light. If we believe he will protect us, we will be protected and kept safe. It is a benefit of keeping our thoughts positive. However, it is not only our mental requests that bring protection from Archangel Michael, it is our own positive actions as well. When we are conscious of our thoughts and actions, we can pause and consider our next step, rather than simply react. During that pause, call on Michael for assistance. He can work with us to recognize and follow a better path.
The last card drawn is a reminder that God is in charge of all that exists. God is aware of all that is, and desires what is best for us. We have been endowed with free choice on this planet, and God will never interfere with it. He/She sends us love always, regardless of our choices and behaviors. He/She wishes us to understand that all situations we encounter are a means to understand ourselves better and continue along our spiritual path. Although we believe we are separate individuals, our nature is spiritual. We are a part of creation and the Creator. Ultimately, we will return to the oneness of All. Some of us will take an easier path than others, but regardless of the direction we take, God will always watch over us and guide us when we ask.
Archangel Michael is an amazing being who is always willing to assist when asked. He “has our back”. Call on him when feeling vulnerable and feel his loving strength.
