“Ascended masters are great spiritual teachers and healers, most of whom lived as humans upon the earth. They’re powerful guides who can help you understand your life’s purpose, muster the courage to make significant changes, and develop your psychic and manifestation abilities. Each ascended master has specialties such as healing, manifesting, ascension, relationships and so forth. They come from every religion and culture, and they’re nondenominational. You don’t need special training or experience to gain their help.” Thus says Doreen Virtue, PhD, creator of this special card deck, “Ascended Masters”. This month I requested the masters help us understand what is important for us to know and incorporate into our lives during this special season of celebration for many.
I will bring my interpretation of each ascended master’s message for this reading. Then I will share what Doreen Virtue has to say. The following five cards were dealt from the top of the deck:
1. Quan Yin: Let It Go; 2. St. Francis: Follow Your Heart; 3. Ganesh: Yes; 4. Epona: Crystals; and 5. Jesus: Open Your Heart to Love.
This season, where many celebrate holidays according to their family and cultural traditions, speaks of raising the energy, vibration, and expectations held at this time. It brings expressions of light, new beginnings, that which is cherished by those who celebrate. It is a time of upliftment, excitement, understanding, and good will. With that in mind, I begin.
1. Quan Yin is the mother of mercy, compassion and forgiveness in Chinese culture. She is of the same vibrational essence as Mary in Christianity, and White Buffalo Calf Woman in Native American cultures. She embodies the Divine Feminine energies that are presently becoming stronger in the world. Quan Yin tells us to let it go. When we are feeling negative emotion, such as holding anger or a grudge, or feeling depressed, she reminds us of the damage we do to ourselves. She is gently but firmly telling us to take care. One way is to forgive; another is to take a different perspective. However we choose, our lives will be more happy and fulfilled when we let it go. Doreen tells us, “Quan Yin is the beloved Buddhist goddess of compassion whose name means, ‘she who hears all prayers.’ At her mortal death, Quan Yin was eligible for Buddhahood, yet she decided to stay close to Earth and help all humans until everyone became enlightened. You can call upon Quan Yin for help with forgiveness and compassion and to have your needs met in gentle and loving ways.” She also says, “It’s time to stop struggling, pushing, or forcing things to happen. Such actions push against the universal flow and lead to frustrations and blocks. When you let the situation go to Spirit, you automatically open supportive doors that will bring solutions and an outcome exceeding your expectations. Let go of struggle, anger, unforgiveness, or anything else undesirable. Trust that the universe is on your side.”
2. St. Francis left all his earthly possessions behind to do what he felt was necessary. Although we do not have to give everything up to follow a dream, we may have to give up some of the “shoulds” and “oughts” that our families, friends, and society try to impose on us, to accomplish our goals. When we follow our heart, we listen to our own inner guidance to work to achieve our highest potential. Doreen explains, “St. Francis of Assisi was born to a wealthy Italian cloth merchant, but he later renounced his inheritance to follow an ascetic spiritual path. As he volunteered in hospitals and ministered to the sick, he gained followers who eventually became the Franciscans. Many legends speak of St. Francis’s ability to communicate with animals, and today he’s the patron saint of the environment and animals. Call upon St. Francis for help in situations where your family or friends don’t understand your choices or spiritual path, or any issue involving animals.” She goes on to say, “The answer to your question is in your heart. This card signifies that you can trust your heart’s true desires, even if you can’t clearly see how the outcome will appear or manifest. This is a situation where you’re called upon to walk in faith and be true to yourself. The universe will ensure that your needs are met and will help with your relationships as you make life changes.”
3. Ganesh is the Hindu god from India who is the remover of obstacles. As you let go and follow your heart, Ganesh is there to assist in removing blocks that come your way. As you begin to make changes in your life, Ganesh can help to smooth the path. A smooth path raises your vibration, sending more light into the world. The more light shining in the world, the more peaceful, joyous and loving we become. Doreen tells us, “Ganesh is the Hindu elephant-headed “overcomer of obstacles” who clears your path of any blocks. Call upon Ganesh at the beginning of any ceremony or new project to ensure a smooth start and steady progress. He’s also very supportive of writers and helps anyone who’s in a bind.” Furthermore, this card helps us to understand, “All the doorways are open for you, and the pathway is clear. Any previous obstacles have been removed. Keep a positive mind-set about the situation to ensure the best possible outcome.”
4. Epona works with the environment. She brings crystals to our attention because they are the holders of vibrational energies that will elevate our existence on earth. Most are still buried deeply. We do not see or are aware of them, so we are not in tune with the powerful energies they emit. As we raise our own vibration, we will have the ability to connect with these crystalline energies. Raising our vibration will increase the light quotient we give off to others and our world. When we are conscious of these higher energies, it is easier to connect with the light of the season. When we raise our light quotient, we become much more aware of the importance of taking care of our earth. Crystals are wonderful gifts for anyone who is open to their wonderful energies. Doreen explains about Epona: “Epona is the fairy-queen goddess who oversees and protects horses. Temples were built in her honor during Roman and Celtic eras where horses were essential to everyday life. Epona is also a protector of the environment and nature spirits. You can call on Epona for help of any kind involving horses; or to help you commune with nature, fairies, crystals, or the environment.” She also tells us, “This card comes to you as a sign that you’d benefit from working with crystals, Epona, the fairy queen, knows the value of connecting with the spirit of nature. You can find or purchase crystals at metaphysical bookstores, spas, and gem shows. Carry or wear the crystals throughout the day for healing, protection, and increased intuition. You can also add the crystals to your bathtub water, or place them on your bedroom nightstand or beneath your bed to connect on an even deeper level with these remarkable gems.”
5. Jesus preached love on all levels: love of self; love of others; love of the earth; love, love, love in all we do. Love is light vibration. This is the time in the Christian religions that Jesus is honored as human, as well as divine. He brought light into the world and each of us can, too, when we follow his example. Doreen states, “Jesus’s message of love and forgiveness was profound and led to many demonstrations of miraculous healings. Jesus helps anyone who calls upon him, regardless of the person’s religious or spiritual beliefs. Call upon Jesus for help with healing yourself or others emotionally, physically, or mentally.” She continues, ” Everything you desire and every prayer that you seek comes as a result of opening your heart to both sending and receiving love. Your heart is the gateway of receptivity. It is the answer to every question you have about your love life, relationships, health, life purpose, and so forth. The more you allow yourself to love, the greater depth and meaning your life holds. Jesus and the other ascended masters will support you in this endeavor, ensuring that you’re protected and safe as you open your heart to love.”
The ascended masters bring us good advice: let it go; follow your heart; yes; crystals; and open your heart to love. Enjoy this month and all it offers with that advice in mind.
