The Ascended Masters are happy to give us guidance about many topics. I decided to ask which three topics were most important for us to consider at this time. Their answers were ‘Choose Peace’, ‘Come Out of the Closet”, and ‘Follow Your Heart”. The cards come from the Ascended Master Oracle Card deck by Doreen Virtue, PhD. Let’s take a look at what is important about each one.
Choose Peace: Paramahansa Yogananda
Doreen tells us, “Paramahansa Yogananda is the beloved author of Autobiography of a Yogi who popularized yoga and meditation in the West. Yogananda’s books and teachings emphasize the oneness of all spiritual and religious paths, and focus upon developing a deep love connection with God. Call upon Yogananda for guidance on your own spiritual path, as well as developing your meditation and yoga practices.” [pp.14-15]
So what is important about choosing peace? First, there is always a peaceful alternative to conflict. Finding a peaceful alternative means we are not only concerned about ourselves, but about each other as well. We put aside our ego and go beyond our own personal needs. Respect is an important part of settling opposing views peacefully. Although we may not agree, we believe in the right to hold our own opinions without harming another. When we are at peace, each of us is allowed to pursue the life we want for ourselves within reason.
Second, your peacefulness elevates your energy and helps you manifest your desires. When you radiate at a higher energy, you attract situations that reflect that energy. Others are more willing to cooperate with you when you are cooperative. They also respect the fact that you will be working with them, rather than against them, so everyone wins.
Third, meditate and do yoga as a way of attaining inner peace. When you find peace within your heart, the desire to power over another disappears. You understand each person is on their own unique journey, finding ways to evolve and become the best they can be.
Come Out of the Closet: Amaterasu
Amaterasu, Doreen says, “is the Japanese Shinto sun goddess who was so bright and radiant that her parents sent her to Heaven, where she now shines down upon humanity. Amaterasu became upset when her brother the storm god was demolishing the planet, so she hid herself in a cave in protest, and the world became cold and dark. The other gods tried everything to coax her out. Nothing worked until they finally put a mirror at the cave entrance. When Amaterasu saw her bright and beautiful reflection, she finally came out of the cave. You can call upon Amaterasu to increase your self esteem and to reveal your true self to others.” [pp.18-19]
What is important is to 1) let go of judgments about yourself or others. 2) Speak your truth with love. 3) Allow others to get to know the real you. 4) Trust that your authentic self is lovable and likable. And 5) the more authentic you are, the higher the energy and success of all your projects. Coming out of the closet is not specific to sexual identification. It’s about trusting that your true self, whoever you are, is worth knowing.
Follow Your Heart: St. Francis
What is important is to follow your heart. Deep down inside, you already know the answer to your questions. Trust your intuition and your heart’s desires. Believe in yourself, even if the outcome is uncertain. Have faith and be true to yourself. When you are, the Universe will ensure that your needs are met.
We learn from Doreen, “St Francis of Assisi was born to a wealthy Italian cloth merchant family, but he later renounced his inheritance to follow an ascetic spiritual path. As he volunteered in hospitals and administered to the sick, he gained followers who eventually became the Franciscans. Many legends speak of St. Francis’ ability to communicate with animals, and today he’s the patron saint of the environment and animals. Call upon St. Francis for help in situations where your family or friends don’t understand your choices, or spiritual path, or any issue involving animals.” [pp. 38-39]
Conclusion
The Ascended Masters want to emphasize that there are many situations we find important, but the truly important aspects of our lives have to do with living in peace, living an authentic life, and living from your heart. When you do, you will be fulfilling your true purpose in life. Adonai
