Begin with the intention of focusing on thoughts of loving oneself. Breathe in deeply three times, as you settle yourself in for this reflection. Are you aware that you are a perfect spiritual being in a physical body? You have always been perfect, are now and forever will be. As spirit, you understand this perfection and love for yourself. The deep love of the Creator for each human is a certainty. In fact, all that is is love.

Possibilities

However, in your human density, you have incorporated doubts and fears, as well as the opinions and directions of others. Allowing others to influence your feelings blocks the acknowledgement of the love you are. In every instance, a person has a choice to love or not love Some say there is no choice. How I am is how I am. But you always have choices in life. Acknowledging that to yourself is important. When you do, possibilities open up.

Happy People Are Loving

The happiest people are those who choose love primarily by experiencing positive emotions often in their lives. If you are that person, you may or may not understand the close connection that implies to the Creator, but feel the connection within your heart as love, happiness, satisfaction, bliss, appreciation, and any other uplifting emotion. That love is a lifeline that supports you being sure of who you are: a son or daughter of the Creator.

Thoughts on Not Loving Yourself

Unhappy people have chosen not-love. The actual connection to the Creator is still in tact, but has been overridden by false thinking. When unhappy, you do not recognize the ability to choose love over not-love. This choice reinforces bad habits, such as negative thinking, poor relationships, belief in lack, and low self esteem. These conditions keep you in a low vibrational state that feels like you’re “stuck”.

Consider Trust

Love is an inside job. It is about recognizing options are always available. It is possible to be mostly happy regardless of who you are and what your circumstances may be. That involves a trust that you do have a connection to the Creator that is permanent. It is the acceptance of that love and the trust you will be taken care of. It is the expectation that your life will work out for you in positive ways. How can you achieve this? Change your perspective and you will change your world. Change your thinking and you will find a new world waiting for you. Let go of fear, doubt, and lack. Understand that every situation, both positive and negative, has a positive lesson to teach. Then appreciate who you are and what you have. Each lesson learned helps you climb the emotional ladder to more positive states of being. Doing this enables you to appreciate your connection to the Creator and enables you to recognize the love inside you.

Saying, “I can” is as powerful as saying “I can’t”. Each is a state of being that you control. Are you willing to take responsibility for loving yourself?
