IMG_1075Sit quietly. Read this passage in a peaceful setting, or record this meditation so you can listen to it with eyes closed.

Take several deep breaths, feeling yourself relax. Imagine living in a small cottage. Walk out the back door toward your garden of beautifully blooming flowers. As you pass by, inhale their fragrance and admire the vivid colors. They bring you much delight, but you do not linger. Continue to walk along the path until you come upon the small brook running through your property. You walk to a tiny island in its center where you decide to settle. Closing your eyes, you listen to the flowing water and feel the current run over your feet as you dangle them there.

As you relax, you notice small beings darting here and there. At first, you think they are insects, perhaps dragonflies or beetles, but soon you realize they are nature spirits. They flit around you, looking for your attention which you give them eventually. They are very excited you have joined them and they are eager to share something with you. So you allow yourself to relax into the setting and mentally ask these spirits to share their messages with you. You notice thoughts in your mind that are actually communication from them.

“You are here in nature. Notice how abundant we are, how the water flows, how the plants grow, and if you look carefully, how the animals in all forms live. There is no scarcity in this realm. We know we are provided for. We know our purpose in being here. We coexist with each other as is necessary for our own survival. We trust the Source That Is to provide for us however we need. We do not ask for more than that. None of us is superior to the others. And there is peace and harmony here. We wish to see humans living as we do; coexisting; taking what is needed; understanding there is no lack in the world. Lack is something you have made up. Know there is an abundance of money, love, material objects, relationships, and food. All you need to be happy is available to you. When you compete with each other, become selfish or greedy, or you fear you will not have enough, you create situations that perhaps make you unhappy in some way. According to the Law of Attraction, the Universe will give you what you focus on. If that is to move toward love and well-being, it will be granted. If it is a focus on sickness, fear, poverty, unhappiness, or anger, that too will be granted.

How do you know what you will receive? The surest way is to notice your feelings. Good feelings mean you are allowing your life to flow exactly as it should. Negative feelings indicate your resistance to your divine path. We nature spirits always feel happy and content. We allow our lives to unfold naturally. You humans do not always do that, so often you are unhappy. Some of you are abundantly displeased because that is your continual focus. You may dwell on poverty, disease, failed relationships, war and unrest, or the coveting of others’ possessions. Until you change your perspective and your life, these situations will reoccur for you.

When you ignore that which is upsetting and pay sole attention to that which pleases, you will find the abundance you seek. It will be in the form of love, peace, joy, contentment, acceptance, and good health. We love you and desire for your happiness. Look inside yourself to find your joy. Allow your life to unfold as your divine life plan has been written.” And with that, they seemed to disappear.

You draw in a slow, deep breath, thinking about this message you have just received, realizing the truth that has been revealed. Then your feet begin to ache from the cold water, so you decide it’s time to return home. You walk to the bank of the stream, climb up and walk slowly back to your garden and then your cottage. All the while, you are thinking about changes you can make to be abundantly happy, and feel grateful for this gift you’ve been given. As you walk into your cottage, you are fully present to your life as it is, but also understand it is time to change.
