These are changing times. We see this in every corner of our world. It isn’t easy adjusting to change because it can be uncomfortable, as well as disorienting. However, change is good when it helps us grow. This angel card reading comes from the Angel Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine. The cards are the Two of Air, the Ace of Air, and the Nine of Earth.
Two of Air
Being unable or unwilling to make a decision. A stalemate. Pretending there is no problem.
Two’s and Air’s
Air cards represent our intellect. It’s where we make our decisions, analyze situations, and give voice to our thoughts. Air is aligned with justice, truth, ideals, the legal system, communication, and other intellectual areas. As fear and worry generally live in the mind, this suit can also denote struggles and concerns in our lives.
Two cards represent relationships, partnerships, choices or decisions. as well as the duality of situations.
Conflict
We are told, “The two of air is largely a stalemate. We find ourselves unable to choose, so we don’t move forward at all. Usually this card reflects an inner conflict where we’re at odds with ourselves. Part of this dilemma may be that we just don’t want to face the issues at hand. The decision may simply be too difficult or painful to make, so we push it to the bottom of our to-do list or pretend the problem isn’t there in hopes it will just resolve itself.
The card asks us to make a choice- to move forward. We must release ourselves from the trap of avoidance, and only we have the key to set us free. This card can also indicate that we’re in a war of wills with someone else. If that’s the case, the card asks us to find a compromise, or seek mediation with a third party.” {The Big Book of Angel Tarot, Virtue, Doreen and Valentine, Radleigh, Hay House, USA, 2014. pp. 230-231]
With changing times, it is important to take a broad view of what we want life to be. When we want to turn back to what was, we stay in stagnation. Although the unknown can be uncertain, the possibilities for the future are infinite. There is much to be excited about if the changes are well thought out, and we all benefit.
Ace of Air
Brilliant new ideas and inspirations. Seeing the truth in a situation. A challenging beginning
Ace cards indicate new beginnings. The start of a cycle or project or endeavor.
Truth
Doreen and Radleigh tell us, “The Ace of Air can be challenging, as many people misunderstand this card. Some believe that it’s a sign of being asked to give up on important endeavors. When we run into obstacles, while attempting to manifest our plans, we may think, Oh, well. I guess I’m just not supposed to move forward. And often that’s true. But not with the Ace of Air. There may be bumps along the road with this card, but those minor setbacks should be looked upon as Heaven helping us. Perhaps our angels are stalling us until the perfect timing presents itself. They may be using challenges to better prepare us for what’s to come, or sending us the message that we need to make some minor course corrections. But we are not to give up! The Ace of Air generally turns out well in time!
This card can also be a clue that we’re about to have a new inspired idea or revelation that gives us a better understanding of our situation.” [ibid, pp. 227-228]
When we are in the midst of changing times, it is often difficult to see how our situation will turn out. This is particularly true when there are a lot of influences presenting themselves. That is why it is important to have faith that everything that is happening is leading to a better future. Therefore, take a broader view of life and see a bigger picture if you can.
Nine of Earth
Enjoying life’s little luxuries. Spending quiet time alone. Successful self-employment
Earth and Nines
The suit of Earth represents the material world, in which we deal with making a living, caring for our bodies, and looking after Mother Earth. Aspects of our lives… include money, work, home, security, health, resources, education, society, and the environment.
Nines indicate extremes in positives and negatives, optimism and pessimism.
Success
This card reveals the following, ” The Nine of Earth is a card of success, luxury, and self-nurturing. Our prosperity hasn’t been handed to us, but earned by many hours of long, hard work. We deserve the rest and relaxation that we’re currently experiencing. This card often refers to people nearing retirement or, at the very least, those who have earned enough money to stop working if they so choose. This card is a sign that plans to go into business for ourselves are well founded and should be pursued.
This is also a card of quiet reflection. We’ve learned the difference between pleasant solitude and being lonely. We enjoy our time in nature and don’t need the company of others to be happy.” [ibid, pp. 285-286]
These changing times give us individually and collectively the opportunity for growth. This means everyone has the right to move forward and make the most of their life without interference from others.
Conclusion
These three cards represent changing times. The first helps us see how our past can keep us stuck and then understand the need to change. The second moves from the past to the present facing challenges, and then finding possibilities of the future. And the last card shows us how going through the turmoil can then lead us to a better life. Take a look at your own life to see where you can move ahead. Adonai.
